Two honours students from UniSA visited Roxby Downs last week.
Helen Malone and Jerrima Nichols are students in urban and regional planning.
They were on a study mission to talk to as many people in Roxby as possible as part of their honours year.
"There seems to be opportunity here, it is such a young town, it could become a world leader in all sorts of ways, it could become a hub for activity in the whole region," Jerrima said.
"What's going on in the arts and education is obvious and there is so much room for innovation and leadership on green technology," Helen said.
“We were lucky to be able to come here and look around and talk to people, everyone has been so nice," Jerrima said.
Helen's honours thesis is about community attachment.
Jerrima's thesis looks into the sustainability of regional communities.
"Its unique to see such a high level of community spirit,” Helen said.
“We went to Dunes Café this morning and it was a buzz with life, it’s all over town, there is that sense of optimism," Helen said.
"You know, in the city a lot of our friends talk about going to Roxby and setting themselves up, its very common to hear people talking about Roxby like that."
